Matthew J. Sharps

Dr. Matthew Sharps is Professor of Psychology at CSUF.
He received his MA in Clinical Psychology from UCLA and his MA
and PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Colorado.
He is a Diplomate of the American College of Forensic Examiners, a consultant
to the criminal justice system, and has taught or given invited lectures
at the University of Wyoming, Alliant International University, the University
Foundation of Thailand, Stockholm University, and Stanford University.
He has published or delivered over 150 scientific papers, and is
the author of the 2003 book "Aging, Representation, and Thought"
(Transaction Publishers). His research focuses on forensic applications
of cognitive theory, on representation and processing in memory and reasoning,
on the evolution of behavior and brain/behavior relationships, and on
aging and gender in cognitive processing.
