My primary interest is in the field of comparative psychology, which is the study of how different species of animals learn, use memory and solve problems.  Although I have worked with a number of animals, the focus of my research has been on learning and choice behavior in invertebrates such as honeybees and grasshoppers.  My students and I are currently looking at how the delay of food
