Research Overview

My areas of research interest and expertise are human judgment and reasoning--especially in social and health-related contexts.  I want to understand the conscious and unconscious strategies that people use to make judgments and to reason (especially about themselves and others), when these strategies succeed and fail, and how these strategies can be improved by training or by redesigning the judgment task.
